Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Mythtastic new year

Soooo..kinda late but merry xmas, happy new year, yay we defeated the mayans etc etc etc etc....

SO! 2013! goddamn there's still snow here in the mountains. If anyone wants any snow, please come and take it all..seriously..i'll even help you D:

So whats new with myth??

Not a whooole lot out of the ordinary. Got a temporary job *crysob* but its a good job and it monies. Its great to be paid to be a geek, lol , all i do is teach the wonders of technology to my community, be it teaching how to use facebook, or how to download eBooks on a Kindle, Kobo, SonyReader etc. Its a great job and everyone is friendly, i love enivronments like that ^_^

Farm life is about the same, though I'm getting ALOT of sheep soon, 7 to be exact. Two of which will have lambs in march and the others in July...so by mid summer i'll easily have over 10 sheep. @_@ dear god.

Art wise....well, you've seen how that has been going. Forever drawing and improving. Got a fave new character to * duh*

Also, my birthday is coming up! Jan.20....23 years old, holy shit i'm getting old oAo;; .... So uh..yah, thats pretty much all I gotta say in terms of updates. So, until next time.
